"Nurturing" linocut in group show at Visual Voice Gallery

Posted May 18, 2016

Home - Exhibition at Visual Voice

Maria is pleased to be part of this group show “HOME”, one of her newest pieces “Nurturing” is on display during this exhibition at Visual Voice. Maria’s interpretation of “Home” revolves around a person’s body. Thinking of our own bodies as a nurturing place is a healthy positive view. What if this sense of nurture could be viewed under a microscope in a single cell. If you are in the Truro area please stop into Visual Voice Gallery and see Maria’s piece as well as work by the following artists:

“Visual Voice Fine Art gallery presents “HOME” a group art show around the theme of belonging and place. Artists Twila Robar-DeCoste, Louise Baker, Lynn Johnson, Diana Baldwin, Maria Doering, Carol Morrison, Betty-Anne Gaetz, Ed Porter, Carol Smeraldo, Judy Arsenault, Kath Rutherford, Nora Gross, and introducing Joanne Solway, interpret the theme in their own way with some surprising results.
Featuring paintings, prints, watercolours and sculptures, touching on the theme of home literally and figuratively.
Come to the gallery to meet and toast the artists on May 14th at the free opening reception from 7-9 pm. Visit Visual Voice Fine Art at regular hours from May 16th to June 18th to view this great collection of artwork.
