Maria has been invited to participate in the 2017 Boston Printmakers Biennial. The Boston Printmakers are celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2017, and their biennial is the top printmaking competition in North America. This year’s juror is Judith Brodie, Curator of Modern Prints and Drawings at the United States National Gallery of Art. She selected 88 pieces from 1,990 applications, including Maria’s The Adventurous Soul.

Maria was included in the Boston Printmaker’s Arches Student Show as part of the 2007 Biennial; this is the first time she is included in the main competition.

The opening reception and awards ceremony is scheduled for 27 January 2018 in Boston, and the show will be on display until 4 March 2018 at the Lunder Arts Center, at Lesley University College of Arts and Design, Cambridge, MA.
