Nostalgic State II included in G6 Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland in Romania
Maria’s reductive linocut print, Nostalgic State II, has been selected as one of 301 pieces from more than 2100 submissions for the 2020 G6 Graphic Art Biennial of Szeklerland, organized by the Cultural Center of Covasna County, the Lăzarea Cultural and Creation Center and the Mureș County Museum in Romania. This is the sixth edition and tenth anniversary of the Biennial of Szeklerland. Unfortunately, the museum exhibit of the biennial, which had been scheduled for the Transylvanian Art Center, has had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic, but the catalogue, selection, and awarding of prizes are still being organized.
Nostalgic is a reductive linocut printed as two limited editions, one on Shoji rice paper (three prints) and one on Fabriano rag paper (two prints), in May 2018. It is part of the Cells, Souls and Personalities series, exploring what personality traits may look like on a cellular level.
